Film Ratthaphum Resignation: No Impact on Palang Pracharath Party, Says Secretary-General.

Bangkok: Film Ratthaphum has officially resigned from the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP), a move that party officials say will not affect its standing or image. Mr. Paiboon Nititawan, the secretary-general of the PPRP, confirmed that Ratthaphum Tokongsub, known popularly as Film Ratthaphum, submitted his resignation to the party registrar of the Election Commission (EC) on Friday, November 15. The EC has since processed the resignation, removing Ratthaphum's name from the party's membership list, effectively ending his association with the PPRP. According to Thai News Agency, questions were raised about whether the resignation might tarnish the party's image, particularly because the PPRP has experienced similar incidents in the past. However, Mr. Paiboon downplayed the resignation's significance, explaining that Ratthaphum was neither a party executive nor a Member of Parliament but merely one of the 57,000 members. He emphasized that the departure is a personal matter for Ratthaphum and does not reflect an y larger issues within the party. Mr. Paiboon assured that the resignation is not a cause for concern and that the party operations remain unaffected. He further compared the situation to more severe political issues, such as the Tak Bai incident, underscoring that Ratthaphum's resignation is minor in comparison. The PPRP's leadership appears confident that this development will not disrupt their activities or public perception.
