According to Thai News Agency, the funeral procession for Sergeant Major Damrongkiat Kaewkrajang from the Assault Battalion in Lopburi Province took place at Wat Luang Pho Khiao in Ban Phraek District. A guard of honor, alongside government officials and citizens, received the body. His wife, Ms. Sunee Topanawong, expressed pride in her husband's service but lamented the tragic circumstances of his death. She shared memories of his last promise to spend time with his family upon returning home.
In Narathiwat province, roads were lined with military personnel and civilians waving Thai flags to honor Private Sutakim Majehma, an anti-tank gunner who died near Hill 677. His body was transported from Narathiwat Airport to his hometown for religious ceremonies. The procession, led by his mother, Sergeant Major Payisa Chewae, was marked by sorrow. Mr. Waeduramae Mammingji presided over the ceremony, highlighting the heroism of Private Sutakim before his burial at the Sukha Cemetery.
Meanwhile, in Sisaket Province, a royal cremation ceremony was held for Sergeant Major Ananda Udon, who died during the Battle of Phumakhuea. General Ukrit Boontanon presided over the ceremony, which included the laying of sandalwood flowers, acknowledging Sergeant Major Ananda's sacrifice in defending the nation's sovereignty.
