Crowds Gather at Santi Chai Prakan Park for Royal Barge Procession

Bangkok:The atmosphere at Santi Chai Prakan Park is filled with anticipation as crowds gather to witness the royal barge procession. This popular viewing spot offers a scenic backdrop with the Rama VIII Bridge and Rama VIII Park, making it a favored choice for spectators.

According to Thai News Agency, all seats in the front zones are fully occupied, yet people continue to arrive steadily. Designated zones have been set for viewing the procession, which is scheduled to start at approximately 300 PM. Despite the hot and sunny weather, attendees remain determined, equipped with umbrellas, hats, and sun protection, having traveled from distant provinces to partake in the royal ceremony.

Among the crowd are families of military personnel, such as the mother of a naval cadet student who traveled from Krabi Province to support her son, participating for the first time in the royal barge procession. She expressed pride in her son's dedication to the event.

Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Commander of the Bangkok Metropolitan Police, recently inspected the park, which can accommodate around 1,500 people. Reports suggest there is still ample space for more spectators to enjoy the boat parade, with all arrangements operating smoothly.
