Constitution Day Event at Parliament Building Features Seminars, Entertainment, and More.

Bangkok: The House of Representatives is set to hold a grand "Constitution Day" event on December 9-10 at the Parliament Building. This event, titled 'Eat the Wind, Watch the Parliament' to the Constitution of Dreams, will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and promises a variety of academic and entertainment activities, along with opportunities for the public to engage with Members of Parliament. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phradon Prisananantakul, the Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, along with Ms. Khattiya Sawasdiphol, an MP for the Pheu Thai Party, and Pol. Lt. Aphat Sukhanan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, announced the event details. The Constitution Day celebration will include academic seminars, such as one on 'The Future of Independent Organizations and the Constitutional Court' on December 9, and another on 'Perspectives on the Protection of Rights and Freedoms under the Constitution' by Mr. Wutthisarn Tanchai on December 10. Additio nally, a seminar on 'The Future of the Thai Parliament' will feature insights from various academics. The event will also include entertainment activities, with OTOP shops setting up stalls and musical performances by university bands. Evening activities will feature debates by university students on topics like 'Thai independent organizations are not inferior to any country in the world' and 'A bicameral system is better than a unicameral system.' A unique highlight of this year's event is the opportunity for the public to visit the 11th floor of the Parliament Building's spire, where they can take photos and enjoy the views. The Parliament Photography Club will offer free photography services. There will also be a Meet and Greet activity with MPs from both government and opposition parties. Visitors can park on the B1 floor of the parliament building or use a van service from Bang Pho station.
