Chaiyanok Not on Bhumjaithai Party’s Prime Minister Candidate List

Bangkok: "Chaiyanok" has confirmed that he is not on the list of candidates for the Bhumjaithai Party's prime ministerial nomination. He declined to comment on the reasons behind "Ekniti's" rejection, suggesting that the inquiry should be directed to "Anutin" as they had discussed the matter privately.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, who serves as the Minister of Digital Economy and Society and is the Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed the announcement concerning the prime minister candidate. He advised that the details should be awaited, as the final decision lies with the Prime Minister, who is also the party leader. He candidly expressed that he would not be deceived this time and confirmed his non-inclusion in the list, citing his need for more experience.

When asked if Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Ekniti Nitithanprapha, provided reasons for his refusal, Chaiyanok suggested directing such questions to the Prime Minister, indicating that the matter was discussed privately.

Addressing the party's policy statement scheduled for tomorrow and potential surprises, Mr. Chaiyanok remarked on the recurrence of such questions. He recounted a previous instance where his response was misinterpreted, emphasizing the sensitivity of the issue, especially with the election approaching. He recommended waiting for the official announcement from the Prime Minister.

On the topic of the registration of party-list MPs on December 28th, it is anticipated that the party leaders will proceed together as usual. However, the mode of transportation, whether by bus or another means, remains uncertain and depends on the Prime Minister's decision.
