Bangkok: Cambodia has decided to withdraw its volleyball team from the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand, reducing its participation to 12 confirmed sports.
According to Thai News Agency, Cambodia had previously submitted a formal request to Chaiyaphak Siriwat, President of the SEA Games Federation, to withdraw from eight team sports. These sports include judo, karate, silat, petanque, boxing, wushu, football, and sepak takraw. As a result, Cambodia will only compete in swimming, athletics, esports, fencing, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, taekwondo, equestrian, jet skiing, triathlon, and tekball. The 33rd SEA Games are scheduled to take place from December 9-20, 2025.
