Boom Bim Returns to Lead Thai Women’s Volleyball Team in 2026 CV Cup, Round 2

Chiang mai: Chatchu-on Moksri, affectionately known as "Boom-Bim," is set to lead the Thai women's volleyball team in the second round of the 2026 CV Cup in Chiang Mai from August 7-9. According to Thai News Agency, the Volleyball Association of Thailand has unveiled the 14-player roster for the upcoming competition. Under the guidance of head coach Kiattipong Ratchatagriengkrai, the team welcomes back key players including Pornpun Guedparach, Thaddao Nuekjeng, Pimpichaya Kokram, Chatchuon Moksri, and Piyanut Pannoy. The lineup features Pornpun Guedparach as the team captain and setter, with Natthanicha Jaisan supporting in the same position. Other positions include Opposite Hitter Pimpichaya Kokram; Middle Blockers Thaddao Nuekjaeng, Wimonrat Thanaphan, Kanyarat Khunmuang, and Kaewkallaya Kamulthala; Outside Hitters Atcharaporn Kongyot, Warisara Seethalert, Sasipaporn Chantaravisut, Chatchuon Moksri, and Jidapa Nahuanong; and Liberos Piyanut Paennoy and Kalyarat Khamwong. The team commenced their first tra ining session at Gymnasium 1 of the Chiang Mai 700th Anniversary Stadium yesterday. Under the supervision of Coach "Ott," the session emphasized movement, ball control, serving, receiving serves, and the overall playing system. Chatchu-on Moksri expressed her excitement about rejoining the team after recovering from an injury. She commended her teammates for their performance in the first round of the tournament and voiced her readiness to contribute to the team's success. The Thai women's volleyball team is scheduled to face the Philippines on August 7, Indonesia on August 8, and Vietnam on August 9. All matches will commence at 4:30 PM at the Chiang Mai 700th Anniversary Stadium.
