Bomb Explosion at Kapho Police Station Results in Casualties

Pattani: A bomb explosion targeted a police car at Kapho Police Station, leading to one fatality and injuring another officer. According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred at 2:00 p.m. when the 4403rd Infantry Regiment was informed by Talo Dueraman Police Station about a bomb planted by an assailant. The attack happened while a police officer was investigating a reported theft at the Darul Naim Mosque in Ban Biting, Village No. 5, Talo Dueraman Subdistrict, Kapho District. The explosion resulted in the death and injury of police officers involved in the investigation. Initially, the injured were transported to Kapho Hospital. The casualties included Pol. Lt. Phanakorn Intha, Deputy Chief of Investigation at Kapho Police Station, who was seriously injured and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Another officer, Pol. Sgt. Maj. Theunsak Rakhawong, Squad Leader (Investigation) at Kapho Police Station, sustained injuries but remained conscious and was subsequently sent to Pattani Hospital f or further treatment.
