Big Dul Appointed as Deputy Minister of Defense in Prime Minister Anutin’s Cabinet

Bangkok: The Cabinet list for No. 1 has been revised, with "Big Dul," former commander of the 2nd Army Region, appointed as Deputy Minister of Defense.

According to Thai News Agency, the latest developments in Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's Cabinet have seen Lt. Gen. Adul Boonthamcharoen, known as Big Dul, take on the role of Deputy Minister of Defense. This appointment highlights his expertise, particularly concerning the Thai-Cambodian border, and aims to support General Nattapol Nakphanit, the incoming Minister of Defense.

Lt. Gen. Adul, an alumnus of the 26th class of the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School and the 38th class of the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, has been recognized for his military acumen. He shares a connection with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, having been classmates at the National Defense College, Class 61.

The Cabinet list's progress is currently under review by the Cabinet Office. Some candidates remain in uncertain positions, and the Prime Minister has submitted more candidates than required to address potential vacancies. The list is expected to be submitted for royal endorsement within the next week.
