According to Thai News Agency, this accolade is a result of Bangkok's ability to offer an expansive array of nightlife options, ranging from bustling clubs and rooftop bars to street bars and late-night dining experiences.
The international travel and lifestyle publication, Time Out magazine, highlighted Bangkok's nightlife diversity, which includes not only a variety of entertainment venues but also a thriving LGBTQ+ community. The ranking is based on feedback from over 24,000 residents across numerous cities, supplemented by assessments from editors and experts. Key factors taken into account include quality, price, diversity, ambiance, community spirit, and the sense of safety and friendliness at night.
Following Bangkok, the top ten cities recognized for their exceptional nightlife in 2026 include Berlin, New York City, Melbourne, So Paulo, Medellin, Johannesburg, Brighton, Beijing, and Amsterdam. This recognition further cements Bangkok's status as a global hub for nightlife enthusiasts.
