Bangkok: Asaphon is advancing with an investigation and collecting information on victims who were deceived into paying money to facilitate government job entrance exams.
According to Thai News Agency, Asapol is intensifying efforts to gather data from victims across all provinces who were misled into paying bribes to secure government job exams. He has pledged to reveal the mastermind behind the scam and promised to prosecute all involved, irrespective of their rank or position.
Mr. Asaphol Santraiphop, a Member of Parliament for Sisaket Province from the Bhumjaithai Party and Chairman of the House of Representatives' Committee on Prevention and Suppression of Corruption and Misconduct (P.P.C. Committee), disclosed that the P.P.C. Committee has formally requested the Provincial Police Commander to compile complaints regarding payments made to individuals or brokers. These individuals falsely claimed they could help candidates pass exams or secure government positions, only for the candidates' names to be absent from the list of successful candidates following the announcement of results.
Asaphol emphasized the importance of collecting comprehensive information from the field, verifying connections between individuals and evidence, and expanding the investigation to include higher-level officials. He stated that any evidence linking individuals to the bribery scheme would prompt an investigation, regardless of their position, to ensure all perpetrators face justice. "I will follow this matter closely because the dedication of those studying for the exam must not be in vain. Entering the civil service requires competition based on knowledge and ability, and everyone must have equal opportunities," he asserted.
