Police arrested a 20-year-old man who was angry after being attacked by a group of teenagers. He had been holding a grudge for 4 months and got his chance to get revenge on the night of a Mor Lam performance. He ambushed and shot a group of teenagers, killing a 14-year-old boy. CCTV footage in Borabue District, Maha Sarakham Province, on October 21, 2024 at 2:00 a.m. captured the moment when a group of teenagers riding almost 20 motorcycles were returning home after attending a Morlam performance at a temple in the area. However, while traveling, an assailant hid on the side of the road before running out and shooting at the group of teenagers. The bullet missed and hit Nong Decha, 14, who was sitting pillion on the last motorcycle, in the back of the head. He lost control and fell, and later died. The latest update today is that the police officers at Borabue Police Station, Maha Sarakham Province, have arrested the perpetrator, identified as Mr. Anonwat, age 20. Today, the officers took the perpetrator to reenact his confession at the intersection heading towards Ban Pluea, Village No. 7, Bo Yai Subdistrict, Borabue District, Maha Sarakham Province, along with pressing charges of intentional murder, possession of a firearm and ammunition without permission. From the investigation, Mr. Ananwat admitted to committing the crime. When Nong Decha's group rode their motorcycles, he ran out into the middle of the road and fired bullets. He did not specifically aim to hit anyone, but the bullets hit Nong Decha. After the incident, he ran to hide in the drain and w aited for the group of teenagers to leave. Then he went back home to change clothes and buried the gun at the pillar of the barn. The officers seized a locally-made short-barreled shotgun, two 12-gauge shotgun shells, one shotgun shell, a blue short-sleeved T-shirt, patterned shorts, and a headlamp used in the crime. The suspect and evidence were taken to investigators for legal proceedings. Source: Thai News Agency
