Bangkok: Anutin's government has shown a firm stance against scammers, with a recent crackdown yielding over 35 billion baht in circulating money within just 38 days of taking office. According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister's Office Spokesperson Siripong Angkasakulkiat highlighted the significant progress made, stating that several large-scale scam networks have been dismantled, marking the highest figure in several years. Siripong detailed that a significant operation took place on October 17, 2015, resulting in the seizure of over 15 billion baht. More recently, on November 6, authorities successfully dismantled another scam network valued at over 20 billion baht. This demonstrates the government's commitment to tackling technology crimes that affect the public. The spokesperson further emphasized that, prior to this government's tenure, only about 1 billion baht was recovered from scammers in the first half of 2025. This stark contrast underscores the effectiveness of Prime Minister Anutin Charnv irakul's stringent policies, which have urged all agencies to collaborate in combating scams consistently.
