Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has dismissed any long-term superstitious beliefs following his decision to move the "Narasingh" statue back to the Thai Khu Fah building. This action mirrors a similar move during the tenure of former Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. Anutin emphasized that his decision was based on advice from teachers and scholars, who suggested not to overanalyze the situation. He noted that if such actions contribute to a sense of well-being and potentially bring good fortune, they should be embraced.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin expressed uncertainty on how to address media inquiries regarding his first day at Government House and his new role as Prime Minister. When questioned about the motivations behind relocating the Narasingh statue, Anutin clarified that his teachers recommended the statue be placed in a more fitting location, leading to its return.
In response to queries about whether this move, akin to a similar one under General Prayut Chan-o-cha, could symbolize a 4+4 period, Anutin firmly stated that there is no connection and advised against overthinking it. He reiterated that actions that foster comfort and auspiciousness for the nation, its citizens, and himself pose no harm.
