Chiang mai: AFC praises Chiang Mai for hosting the SEA Games Group C. The Director of the Sports Authority of Thailand Region 5 revealed that the number of people who booked to watch the first game exceeded 3,000. Mr. Songsak Khamdeerungrirat, Director of the Sports Authority of Thailand Region 5 Office in Chiang Mai Province, revealed the readiness to host the men's football competition, Group C, to be held at the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium. He stated, "The 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium is 100% ready to host the men's football competition at the 33rd SEA Games, which will host Group C. All systems have been in preparation for over two months, and everything is fully operational, including the field conditions, lighting, athlete accommodations, and other rooms, including the VIP lounge. This has earned praise from the AFC."

According to Thai News Agency, the grass condition has been fully managed using the budget of the Sports Authority of Thailand Region 5, with no central budget for grass maintenance. This may be a limitation, but it has been a success. Public relations have been positive. Today, even without the Thai team competing, there were still 3,000-4,000 people booked into the system to watch the Myanmar vs. Philippines match. This is a welcome development. Chiang Mai residents and the general public are invited to attend the men's football matches, which will be held in Chiang Mai on December 8th and 12th. Registration is free.

For the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium, it is one of the venues for the men's football competition in the 33rd SEA Games, responsible for organizing the competition in Group C.
