Young Vendor’s Roti Shop Thrives with Booming Sales and Social Media Buzz

Ubon ratchathani: A young woman has taken the local culinary scene by storm with her new roti shop at Santi Suk 2 Market in the Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District. The shop, managed by 22-year-old Ms. Nicharee, also known as Nong Nan, has quickly become a popular destination, attracting long lines of eager customers each day.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Nicharee inherited her family's original selling location and has transformed it into a bustling hub within just 3-4 months. She sells over 260 roti sheets daily, drawing in patrons of all ages, thanks in part to her engaging presence on social media platforms like TikTok and Facebook. Her distinctive style and warm interaction with customers have played a crucial role in her shop's success, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere.

The shop's menu includes several popular items, with "Roti with Egg" being the standout choice, priced at 25 baht. Other offerings include plain roti for 10 baht and crispy roti for 30 baht per box, coupled with a promotional deal of "buy 10, get 1 free." Opening at noon, the shop sees peak activity from 2:30 PM, often selling out before 7:00 PM.

Despite the overwhelming demand, Ms. Nicharee currently operates the shop single-handedly, which limits her ability to expand her menu to include items like banana fritters or shredded egg yolk desserts. To accommodate the continuous influx of customers and expand her offerings, she plans to hire assistants soon.
