Woman Following GPS Instructions Crashes Into Pickup Truck, Damages Grocery Store


Pluak daeng: A woman driving a car following GPS instructions collided with a pickup truck, leading to a series of unfortunate events that resulted in significant damage to a local grocery store.



According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred at approximately 1:00 AM on Road 3191 in Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province. CCTV footage documented the moment a car emerged from an alley and crashed into the center of a pickup truck. This collision caused the truck to lose control and subsequently crash into a villager’s house that operates as a grocery store, leading to damage and the scattering of goods.



Upon police arrival, a white sedan was discovered with severe damage to both its front and rear. The driver, identified as Ms. Kanyarat, expressed shock and explained, “I was following the GPS. The GPS told me to turn left, so I did. After I turned, I collided with a pickup truck and the car spun. After that, the scene cut out. I didn’t know the way. I didn’t know there was an intersection ahead, so I turned according to the GPS.”



The pickup truck involved was a white Isuzu D-Max that ended up crashing into the grocery store. The driver of the truck experienced chest pains, while two other passengers sustained minor injuries. All injured parties were transported to the hospital by rescue workers from Plak Daeng.



The police have launched an investigation to determine the true cause of the accident.
