Paris: William Saliba, the French national team defender, has revealed that he has been playing through injury for many months, including during the 2026 World Cup, and he is still not fully recovered.
According to Thai News Agency, Saliba was instrumental in helping his club Arsenal win their first Premier League title in 22 years before the World Cup. Additionally, they finished as runners-up in the UEFA Champions League, showcasing his significant contributions to the team.
In the current World Cup, the 25-year-old defender played the entire match in France's 3-1 victory over Senegal in the opening group stage match of Group I. Despite his ongoing injury concerns, Saliba is expected to remain a vital player for France throughout the tournament.
