Wat Phra Dhammakaya and Dhammakaya Foundation Aid Flood Victims in Pathum Thani

Pathum Thani:Relief packages were distributed to flood victims in Pathum Thani by Wat Phra Dhammakaya and the Dhammakaya Foundation, in collaboration with the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization.

According to Thai News Agency, the distribution efforts were part of a collaboration with the Pathum Thani Rak Baworn Rak Sil 5 Club, under the patronage of Phra Dhammaratanaaporn. Essential supplies, including rice and dried food, were delivered to affected residents at the Thaiko Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Sam Khok District.

Phra Khru Palat Rattanaweerawat, advisor to the Provincial Chief Monk of Pathum Thani and abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, appointed Phra Maha Nopporn Punyachayo, assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, to oversee the distribution of 500 relief packages. Joining the efforts were Pol. Gen. Kamronwit Thupkrachang, President of the Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization, Ms. Kulsiri Sirirasmikul, President of the Pathum Thani Rak Baworn Rak Sil 5 Club, and Mr. Samroeng Yindeephot, President of the Thaiko Subdistrict Administrative Organization, who ensured supplies reached every village.

The relief operation also extended support to vulnerable groups, including the elderly, the sick, and individuals with disabilities residing outside the flood barriers along the Chao Phraya River. These areas were significantly impacted by rising water levels.

This initiative forms part of the monastic community's social welfare mission, embracing the "B-W-R" (Home, Temple, Government) concept to deliver holistic assistance to disaster victims, particularly focusing on vulnerable households, and offering ongoing support until the flood situation improves.
