Warm Isarapha Prepares for Women’s Skeet Competition at 2025 SEA Games

Bangkok: “Warm” Issarapha Imprasertsuk, a Thai female skeet shooter who finished 4th at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, is fully committed to achieving success in the women’s skeet competition at the 2025 SEA Games, one of the highlight events being included for the return of the SEA Games after 18 years.

According to Thai News Agency, Issarapha “Warm” Imprasertsuk, a member of the Thai national female skeet shooting team and fourth-place finisher in the women’s skeet category at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, revealed her readiness ahead of the skeet shooting competition at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, scheduled for December 9-20, 2025. She stated that she has been training diligently, developing both her skills, body, and mind. She expressed her gratitude to the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) for their excellent support in every area, including funding, sports psychologists, sports science, and sports nutrition. Meanwhile, skeet shooting has also received additional support from the SAT in terms of training equipment, including ammunition and targets.

Isarapha added that the training program includes both training in Bangkok, at the Sports Authority of Thailand’s Huamark campus, and at the Photharam Shooting and Target Shooting Range in Ratchaburi Province, the actual competition venue. At the end of October, she is scheduled to compete in the 2025 ASEAN Championships, a pre-SEA Games competition that will help her prepare. Asked how ready she is right now, she said she is very ready, and is ready for the 33rd SEA Games.

“This SEA Games is Warm’s first SEA Games. This is partly because there aren’t many women’s skeet competitions at the SEA Games, with only men’s skeet and trap competitions. This time, there’s a women’s skeet competition, which is a great opportunity. It’s the first time in 18 years that the SEA Games has returned to include a gold medal, since the 24th SEA Games in 2007 in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. I had the opportunity to watch the event. I remember the atmosphere was very exciting. From then as a spectator to now as an athlete, I’m still a bit nervous. But I won’t put any pressure on myself and will focus on doing my best. Warm would like to ask for support from the fans,” said Issarapha.

Issarapha Imprasertsuk is a key player for the Thai national shooting team. Her standout achievement was a fourth-place finish in the women’s skeet shooting competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, nearly making history by winning an Olympic medal. She also finished runner-up at the 2016 Asian Games in the United Arab Emirates and won the international championship at the 2023 Caesar Shooting Championship in Taiwan.
