Unanimous Decision for Mathayom 5 Student Who Assaulted Teacher to Resign from School

Bangkok: A well-known private school in Uthai Thani province has unanimously decided to expel a male Mathayom 5 student who assaulted a teacher after exhibiting violent behavior. In the case of a male Mathayom 5 (Grade 11) student at a well-known private school in Uthai Thani Province, he was dissatisfied with his test scores and attacked his math teacher in the middle of the classroom in front of his classmates, resulting in serious injuries and rib inflammation.

According to Thai News Agency, the school recently posted a message on Facebook stating, "On August 14, 2025, following a meeting of the school's executive committee and advisors regarding the incident in which a Mathayom 5 (Grade 11) student assaulted a teacher on August 5, 2025, the school's executive committee and advisors unanimously resolved that the student resign from school."

The male student, in Mathayom 5 (Grade 11), previously admitted his mistake and apologized to his teacher. Initially, the school maintained his status as a student, allowing him to continue learning online. However, he faced heavy criticism from society and alumni regarding the appropriateness of his punishment.
