UBS Live Contest 2026: Cultivating the Next Generation of Online Sales Professionals for the Global Market

Bangkok: The Faculty of Business Administration, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), in collaboration with the Young Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce (YEC), launched the 'UBS Live Contest 2026,' an online sales competition for students nationwide. The event was attended by Dr. Krisana Vajikrailas, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and member of the UTCC Council; Associate Professor Dr. Thanawat Polvichai, President of UTCC; Assistant Professor Dr. Rawida Viriyakitja, Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance; Mr. Chatip Tangkulpaishal, Chairman of the YEC Thailand Committee; and Dr. Annicha Thanyachairat, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, UTCC. The project aims to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their potential, abilities, and creativity through practical online sales experience, with YEC supporting the event by providing a variety of products from real entrepreneurs to be used in Live Commerce competitions, as well as to prepare pro ject participants with the knowledge and workflows of digital marketing.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chatip Tangkulpaishal, Chairman of the Young Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce (YEC) Thailand, commented on this collaboration, stating, 'This collaboration demonstrates the YEC network's commitment to providing students from the University of Thai Chamber of Commerce with real products from our network to use in practical sales training within the project. This opens up opportunities for participants to learn about business perspectives and consumer behavior through real-world experience. This is a positive continuation of the collaboration between the business sector and educational institutions, and fosters the creation of a network of young entrepreneurs starting from the student level.' Furthermore, Mr. Tangkulpaishal added that allowing young people to try selling products online broadens their perspectives, showing them the overall business landscape from product selection and presentation planning to closing sales - skills that cannot be acquired solely in the classro om.

Associate Professor Dr. Annicha Thanyachairat, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), added, 'The 'UBS Live Contest 2026' project aims to develop students' digital marketing and online sales skills, enabling them to effectively apply the knowledge gained from their studies to real-world situations. This includes target audience analysis, product presentation design, sales strategy development, and building engagement on social media - all crucial skills aligned with the needs of businesses in the digital age. The Faculty of Business Administration has always prioritized teaching that connects with real-world business situations, and this project serves as a clear example of the collaboration between educational institutions and the private sector to develop youth.'

The project's target group consists of 200 business administration students and representatives from the YEC network, representing more than 30 businesses. The project is scheduled to take place from August to November 2026 at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC), divided into four main phases: online registration from August 15 to September 15, 2026; an online sales competition and workshops in October 2026; and the announcement of the winning teams in November 2026 at the UTCC auditorium. In addition to sales skills training, the project utilizes Influencer Marketing and Affiliate Marketing as marketing tools to reach the target audience of students nationwide and to promote the Digital Marketing program of the Business Administration Faculty at UTCC to a wider audience.

The 'UBS Live Contest 2026' project is another collaboration between the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Young Entrepreneurs Committee (YEC) of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. It aims to enhance digital marketing and online sales skills among Thai youth through real-world experience, while laying the foundation for a sustainable network of collaboration between educational institutions and the business sector.
