Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump stated yesterday that he believes Iran is not yet ready to reach a proper deal with Washington, emphasizing that the U.S. is closely monitoring the ongoing conflict.
According to Thai News Agency, President Trump elaborated on Iran's financial situation and military capabilities, highlighting that the country is facing severe liquidity challenges, lacks both a navy and an air force, and is struggling to pay salaries to its soldiers and police officers. He also pointed out that inflation in Iran has surged to 350%.
Additionally, Mr. Trump asserted that the United States possesses the authority to completely control the Strait of Hormuz and its surrounding territories through a blockade. He maintained that regardless of Iran's interest in negotiating, he does not believe Iran is prepared to make a suitable agreement at this time.
