According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department has warned that thunderstorms are likely to persist in northern Thailand. In the South, several areas are expected to experience thunderstorms, with some regions facing heavy rainfall. The current weather conditions are attributed to easterly and southeasterly winds blowing across the Gulf of Thailand, Thailand, and the Andaman Sea. Residents in the South are advised to be vigilant of the dangers posed by thunderstorms, heavy rain, and accumulated precipitation. Additionally, caution is advised when traveling through areas prone to flooding during this period.
For maritime conditions, the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand are experiencing waves approximately 1 meter high, with areas affected by thunderstorms experiencing waves over 2 meters. Mariners are urged to exercise caution and avoid navigating through regions with thunderstorms.
Furthermore, a depression in the eastern part of the Philippines has intensified into Tropical Storm Fengchen. It is expected to traverse the northern part of the Philippines and enter the upper South China Sea between October 18-19, 2025. Subsequently, between October 21-22, 2025, the storm is projected to approach Hainan Island, China, where it will rapidly weaken. The storm is not expected to impact Thailand.
