Bangkok: Theerathon Bunmathan has clarified that he has no issues with Jonathan Khemdee, despite the latter's absence from the Thai national football team for the upcoming FIFA Day fixtures in November.
According to Thai News Agency, Anthony Hudson, the new head coach of the Thai national men's football team, recently announced a 23-player squad for two crucial matches in November. The announcement saw the return of players previously excluded from the squad by former coach Masatada Ishii, including the likes of veteran striker Teerasil Dangda from True Bangkok United, left-back Theerathon Bunmathan from Buriram United, and midfielder Sarach Yooyen from BG Pathum United. These players are scheduled to report for duty on November 10th.
Hudson explained that Jonathan Khemdee, the Thai-Danish defender, was not selected due to passport paperwork issues. However, online rumors suggested that Khemdee's absence was due to a supposed lack of rapport with Theerathon, leading to the phrase "If there's Aum, there's no Joe" circulating among fans. Theerathon has refuted these claims, stating that he has no problems with Khemdee, whom he referred to as his younger sibling, and questioned the origins of such rumors.
