On 19 March 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha organized an education counseling and skills development training program for Thai Students in Qatar at the Embassy. The program included a seminar and workshop for students at the Embassy and a study visit to important places and business establishments in Qatar. The goal is to help students acquire the knowledge, skills and experience to excel themselves, as well as to identify their future career options and succeed in multicultural society. Participants included Thai students who are currently study at Al-Mahaad Addeeni Secondary School for Boys under the scholarships of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs of Qatar and Thai students from Qatar University. The first day of the program included a seminar and workshop conducted by Thai students from Qatar University who shared their experience on studying higher education in Qatar, followed by a diplomat career guidance session by Ms. Banarasi Koanantakul, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha. The last session was a seminar and workshop on the topic “Future Career Guidance and Innovative Skills Development in Multicultural Society,” by Dr. Savanid Vatanasakdakul, Associate Teaching Professor of Information System at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. The participants were satisfied with the training program and acquired valuable knowledge to plan their future career and studies, especially in today’s multicultural society.
On the second day of the program which was on 26 March 2022, the students visited Baladna Food Industries W.L.L. and were briefed about the history of Baladna, the biggest milk and dairy product manufacturer in Qatar which accounted for 85% of milk production in the country. Baladna Food Industries W.L.L. was established in 2014 and began its large importation of cows from abroad to start local production after the blockade against Qatar on 5 June 2017. The company has developed at a fast pace and used innovative and high technology farming facilities adapted for extreme hot weather in the middle east. The company has rapidly grown and is currently producing more than 150 milk and dairy products while also expanding its presence abroad such as in Oman, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. The participants also visited Baladna Park and Doha Quest for recreation and teambuilding activity as part of the program.
