Meanwhile, various agencies, organizations, educational institutions, political parties, foundations and associations laid wreaths and paid homage to commemorate the great kindness of King Chulalongkorn, such as the House of Representatives, the Senate, the Supreme Court, the Independent Organization Committee, various ministries, the armed forces, the King Prajadhipok's Institute, Chulalongkorn University, Suankularb Wittayalai School, Assumption College, Bangkok Christian College, Debsirin School, Vajiravudh College, Suankularb Wittayalai School, the Chaipattana Foundation and the Thai Red Cross Society, as well as various private agencies, etc. Every year, October 23 is the anniversary of the death of King Chulalongkorn. The government has declared it 'Piyamaharaj Day' to commemorate the great kindness of King Chulalongkorn who performed various royal duties that were beneficial to the country and its people.
