Dr. Manu Sukolsakul, Public Health Inspector of Health Zone 6, said about the incident of a chemical mixing tank exploding in a chemical factory in Prachin Buri Province that Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital was notified of the incident at 9:22 a.m. today at a company in the Bo Thong Industrial Estate, Bo Thong Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District, Prachin Buri Province, which is engaged in the zinc, lead, and tin production business. There were 232 workers, 205 men and 27 women. A Chinese engineer reported that the well was not marked with any signs indicating what it was. Dr. Manu continued that at the time of the incident, there were approximately 70 workers, with 28 affected, of which 1 died at the scene, 13 were sent to Kabin Buri Hospital, 2 were in moderate condition, 10 were in minor condition, and 1 died at the hospital, totaling 2 deaths, all of whom were foreign workers from Myanmar. Initially, an EMS team was sent to work in the area in front of the factory to separate the workers and send them to the hospital for treatment and provide initial care. Outside the factory, an environmental health team and district public health team were organized to jointly monitor the impact on the surrounding environment, including coordinating with Chao Phraya Abhaibhubejhr Hospital, which is the regional hospital in the area, to prepare occupational medicine doctors to provide care and assistance. Currently, the Bo Thong Subdistrict Administrative Organization has warned the public to be careful of their health and avoid going near the scene of the incident, and has ordered the fac tory to cease operations entirely.
