The Royal Thai Air Force held a wreath-laying ceremony to pay homage to the royal monument of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) on the occasion of 'Piyamaharaj Day'. Air Chief Marshal Panphakdi Pattanakul, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, along with Ms. Montira Pattanakul, President of the Royal Thai Air Force Wives Association, senior officers of the Royal Thai Air Force, and Royal Thai Air Force officials laid wreaths to pay homage to the royal monument of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) at the lawn in front of the Royal Thai Air Force and National Aviation Museum. This was to commemorate the great kindness of King Chulalongkorn and to commemorate the anniversary of his passing. The King was highly revered and loved by the people. His great kindness was extensive, so the Thai people unanimously gave him the royal title of 'Somdet Phra Piyamaharaj,' which means 'the King who is most beloved by all.' Source: Thai News Agency
