Wisut" thanks all parties for coordinating to bring "Phra Chao Tong" of Wiang Lo back to Thailand after being stolen for over 36 years. Mr. Wisut Chainarun, MP for the Pheu Thai Party, as one of the people from Phayao who previously announced the search for 'Phra Chao Tong', a Buddha statue enshrined at Wat Si Ping Mueang, Ban Wiang Lo, Tambon Lo, Amphoe Chun, Phayao Province, which was stolen for over 36 years, said that he had previously received a tip-off that someone had found Phra Chao Tong in Switzerland, so he tried to have the Pheu Thai Party's foreign MP team follow up and coordinate. It was found that it was Phra Chao Tong Wiang Lo that had actually disappeared from Wat Si Ping Mueang, so they coordinated to bring the Buddha statue, which is over 900 years old, back to Thailand as a national treasure. Currently, Phra Chao Tong is enshrined at the National Museum under the care of the Fine Arts Department, which will then be invited back to Phayao Province. "In this matter, I would like to thank th e people and all parties involved who worked together to provide clues until we finally got "Phra Chao Tong" back to be a spiritual support for the people of Phayao Province," said Mr. Wisut.
