According to Thai News Agency, Thammanat outlined his involvement in the formation of the 2027 Budget Bill during his tenure as Deputy Prime Minister, noting that the budget was primarily derived from plans he had developed. Despite some modifications during the committee stage, the core elements of the budget remained intact. Thammanat highlighted that a vote against the budget would equate to rejecting his own policy initiatives. He reiterated his support during the article-by-article vote held on September 7th, which mirrored his policy alignment.
When questioned about the Kla Tham Party's abstention from a significant loan decree and its implications for potential government collaboration, Thammanat emphasized the importance of careful consideration in financial matters.
