Thammanat Affirms Kla Tham Party’s Authenticity Amid Rising Membership

Bangkok: Thammanat Prompao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, asserted that the Kla Tham Party’s members are genuine and verifiable, contrasting them with what he described as fake parties. Thammanat likened himself to a large tree, suggesting that like a tree hosting various animals, being targeted is a normal occurrence. He emphasized his resilience, citing past experiences as preparation for current challenges.

According to Thai News Agency, Thammanat, acting as an advisor to the Kla Dharma Party, addressed concerns regarding the significant increase in the party’s membership. He affirmed that the Kla Dharma Party’s membership list is authentic and can be verified, unlike some other political parties. He attributed the rise in membership to the party’s active engagement with the people. He recounted a recent meeting with the P-Move group, which resulted in an additional 2,000 members, as an example of their ongoing efforts.

In response to Kamphaeng Phet MP Pai Lik’s exposure of certain political parties, Thammanat explained that the Kla Tham Party is now well-established, with a dedicated war room for gathering information. He mentioned that Group Captain Anudit Nakornthap, as the party’s strategy chairman, is responsible for handling inquiries. Thammanat urged the media to focus on factual investigations rather than relying on accusations.

When questioned about the government becoming a target, Thammanat used the analogy of a large tree, indicating that being a focal point is typical. He remarked that, as a politician, one should not take such situations too seriously, drawing on his extensive experience in dealing with various challenges throughout his political career.

He concluded by expressing the need to remain grounded in reality and to address accusations with factual evidence. Thammanat conveyed his readiness to counter allegations, emphasizing that past experiences have equipped him to navigate the current political landscape.
