Bangkok: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a strategic budget allocation aimed at addressing both international challenges and pressing regional issues, such as arsenic pollution in the Kok River. Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Rasme Chaleechan, confirmed the ministry’s commitment to protecting national interests while emphasizing the need for prompt coordination with Myanmar to resolve environmental concerns, with the hope of fostering peace and economic development in the region.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Rasme detailed the ministry’s budget request for the fiscal year 2026, which aligns with the government’s primary policies to navigate the complex global landscape of geopolitics and geoeconomics. The budget aims to protect and promote Thailand’s interests, drive economic growth, and uphold international law.
