According to Thai News Agency, the announcement followed the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Summit and the ASEAN Plus Three Summit involving China, Japan, and South Korea. Discussions and statements during the meetings emphasized Thailand's commitment to collaboratively addressing issues, particularly cybercrime and scams. Thailand proposed hosting a meeting aimed at exploring regional strategies to effectively combat technology crimes. The initiative represents an international collaboration to tackle these challenges. Prime Minister Anutin met with the President of South Korea to discuss effective methods for suppressing technology crimes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with organizing the conference, with relevant agencies set to implement the directives.
