According to Thai News Agency, in the second week of the 2026 Women's Volleyball Nations League at Indoor Stadium Hua Mak, the Thai women's national volleyball team, ranked 20th in the world with 2 wins and 1 loss, accumulating 9 points and ranking 14th in the standings, played their final match of this round against the Netherlands, ranked 8th in the world.
In this game, head coach Kiattipong Ratchatagriengkrai fielded a starting six consisting of team captain Pornpun Guedparach, Sasipaporn Chantavisut, Kaewkallaya Kamulthala, Atcharaporn Kongyot, Thaddao Nuekjaeng, and Pimpichaya Kokram, with libero Kalyarat Khamwong and Piyanut Paennoy. The Netherlands were led by team captain Britt Bongaeers.
The Thai women's volleyball team fought hard, but several players were fatigued, ultimately losing 0-3 (23-25, 22-25, 15-25). For the third week of the tournament, the Thai women's team will travel to Osaka, Japan, to compete from July 8-13. Their first match is on July 8 at 1:30 PM against the USA, followed by matches on July 9 at 5:20 PM against Japan, July 11 at 1:30 PM against Brazil, and July 12 at 1:30 PM against Turkey.
