Thailand Post yesterday debuted commemorative stamps that it will issue in the month of the royal cremation in memory of the beloved late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
According to Thailand Post president Ms Samorn Terdtampiboon, three million sets of the commemorative stamps will be issued and will be opened for order from August 28- September 11.
She said the King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Royal Cremation commemorative stamps issued in memory of the king's great merits to the Thai people and the loyalty and love that the Thai people have towards the beloved king, will come in three special sets.
Each set has nine stamps featuring portraits of His Majesty the late King Rama IX, the mass candle-lit ceremony that took place at Sanam Luang in October 22 last year, and components of the cremation ceremony such as the royal chariots.
The first two in the series will be available for purchase on October 25th, 2017, at a price of 142 baht, while the third in the series will be priced at 99 baht.
Buyers can book them in advance at all post offices nationwide, starting on August 28 until September 11, or on the internet at www.postemart.com.
