Thailand National Team Secures 2-0 Victory Over India in Friendly Match

Bangkok: Thailand's national football team triumphed over India with a 2-0 win in a friendly match. The goals were scored by Benjamin Davis and Prames Ajwilai, setting the stage for their next match against Turkmenistan on June 10.

According to Thai News Agency, the match was part of the FIFA Day calendar, with Thailand, ranked 99th in the world, facing India, ranked 127th, at Thammasat Stadium. Head coach Masatada Ishii strategically positioned Benjamin Davis in the midfield, supported by a forward line composed of Chanarong Promsrikaew, Kraiwut Tasa, and Pramet Ajwilai.

The first goal came just 8 minutes into the game when Kraiwut Thasa assisted Benjamin Davis, who found the net with a precise right-footed shot from inside the penalty area. In the second half, the 59th minute marked another success for Thailand as Benjamin Davis provided a decisive pass to Pramesh Ajwilai. Ajwilai carried the ball forward and executed a skillful right-footed curl in front of the penalty area, hitting the crossbar before securing the goal. The match concluded with a 2-0 victory for Thailand over India.

Thailand's next challenge will be the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, where they will face Turkmenistan at Ashgabat Stadium on June 10, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. Thailand time.
