According to Thai News Agency, the Thai team is preparing for their second match in the 2026 AVC Women's Volleyball Continental Championship, taking place at the Tianjin Olympic Center Gymnasium in China. Head coach Kiattipong Ratchatagriengkrai has conducted a 1.5-hour training session to hone the team's skills in serving, receiving, and ball control. He stressed the importance of not underestimating Indonesia, a team that has shown marked improvement and recently secured a win against Kazakhstan. Additionally, sports science officials from the Sports Authority of Thailand are assisting with the players' physical recovery ahead of the match.
The anticipated starting lineup, as forecasted by coach "Ott," features setter Pornpun Guedparach or Natthanicha Jaisan, opposite hitter Pimpichaya Kokram, outside hitters Chatchuon Moksri, Sasipaporn Chantavisut, or Acharaaporn Kongyot, middle blockers Thaddao Nuekjaeng and Kaewkallaya Kamulthala, and libero Piyanut Paennoy.
Players Piyanuch and Thaddao emphasized the need to remain focused and execute their system effectively to secure a win. They also encouraged fans to show their support. The Thai national team's remaining group stage matches in Group B are against Indonesia today at 3:00 PM and Kazakhstan on August 25th at 10:00 AM.
