Bangkok: Thai stocks closed the morning session up 3.58 points. The Stock Exchange of Thailand closed the morning session at 1,253.65 points, up 3.58 points (+0.29%), with a trading value of approximately 15,281 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the SET index showed an increase this morning, aligning with regional markets. This growth followed lower-than-expected US inflation figures, which raised the possibility of further interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve. Despite this positive movement, the nearing end of the downward trend in interest rates continues to exert pressure on the financial sector. Nonetheless, the banking sector experienced short-term support from this nearing end.
Market analysts anticipate that the trend for the afternoon will be volatile. They have identified support levels at 1,250 points and 1,230 points, with resistance levels at 1,260 points and 1,280 points, providing key insights for investors navigating the market dynamics.
