New York City:Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul emphasized using the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as a stage to spotlight Thailand globally.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin expressed his intention to leverage his participation in the UNGA to foster international confidence in Thailand. During his three-day visit to New York City, he plans to engage with leaders from various countries, business councils, and investors to promote Thailands readiness as a major distribution and production hub.
Anutin's address at the UNGA on September 24 will outline Thailand's future as a pivotal economic and trade hub in ASEAN and its efforts in adapting to global challenges, such as the energy transition. He will also discuss Thailands ambitions to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which would enhance the country's international standing and enable greater participation in global cooperation.
