Thai-Chinese Partnership Strengthens Through Executive Program and Study Scholarships


Bangkok: In a strategic move to enhance the network of young executives between Thailand and China, the Thai-Chinese Journalists Association, in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy, has announced initiatives aimed at fostering educational and professional exchanges.



According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kampon Mahanukul, President of the Thai-Chinese Journalists Association, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suebpong Prabyaai, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Executive Business Program, and Ms. Kantharos Hanchaiyapiboonkul, Director of the Thai-Chinese Media and Business Institute, spearheaded a delegation comprising participants from the first three cohorts of the Thai-Chinese Executive Business Program. The delegation engaged in discussions with Mr. Hou Pei, Information Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand, to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing communication channels between the two nations. This pivotal meeting took place on March 30, 2026.



During the interaction, the Chinese Embassy acknowledged its commitment to supporting the initiatives of the Thai-Chinese Journalists Association and the Thai-Chinese Media and Business Institute. The Embassy emphasized its focus on fostering a foundation of mutual understanding and facilitating effective information exchange as a means to expand economic and social cooperation networks.



To further promote experiential learning, the Embassy has announced plans to grant 25 scholarships for study trips to China. These scholarships are intended for members of the association and participants of the executive training program. The 15-day study trip will include comprehensive training sessions, allowing media executives and personnel to gain firsthand exposure to China’s rapid development, with the objective of utilizing the acquired knowledge to enhance sustainable collaboration between Thailand and China.
