Bangkok: Welcome home, "Som" Saralrak and Noel-Kwangtung! They arrived back in Thailand to a warm welcome after their performance at the Vietnam Open badminton tournament.
According to Thai News Agency, "Som" Saralak Vitidsarn, the world's number 106 ranked women's singles badminton player and younger sister of "View" Kulavut Vitidsarn, showcased excellent form and won the "Vietnam Open 2026" badminton tournament, a World Tour Super 100 event. This marks her first ever World Tour title.
The success doesn't stop there, as the mixed doubles pair, "Noel" Phuwanat Hobanluekij and "Kwangtung" Fungfah Koprathamkit, also fought valiantly, securing the runner-up position. Their efforts and skills were a testament to their dedication and hard work.
The three badminton players returned to Thailand late on Sunday, September 13, 2026. They arrived at Don Mueang Airport on flight FD659, where they were warmly welcomed and congratulated by Air Chief Marshal Monthol Satchukorn, President of the Badminton Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage.
