Bangkok: SYNNEX (Thailand) Public Company Limited has officially launched its 'AI Hub' in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (Thailand) Limited (AWS), aiming to accelerate AI adoption among Thai businesses. The initiative, unveiled under the concept of 'Empowering Thailand's AI Transformation,' seeks to integrate AWS AI and Cloud technologies with local enterprises, facilitating everything from developing and testing AI use cases to scaling them across organizational structures.
According to Thai News Agency, the AI Hub is designed as a comprehensive platform that connects technology, expertise, skills, and partner networks, significantly reducing the complexity and time required for AI adoption. Its focus areas include Smart Logistics, Smart Manufacturing, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Workflow Automation, and the enhancement of operational efficiency and decision-making processes within organizations.
Ms. Sutida Mongkolsuthee, CEO of SYNNEX, emphasized the importance of organizations harnessing AI not just for its technological capabilities but for its potential to solve business problems and yield tangible results. The AI Hub represents a strategic shift for SYNNEX, from merely supplying technology to actively aiding businesses in leveraging AI for improved productivity and competitiveness.
The AI Hub operates on three core mechanisms: AI Accessibility, Market Acceleration, and Local Expertise. AI Accessibility offers organizations the chance to experiment with AI and AWS Cloud technologies, while Market Acceleration leverages SYNNEX's partner network for solution development and market entry. Local Expertise ensures that AI solutions are tailored to the specific challenges faced by Thai businesses.
The platform also features five key sections, including Partner AI Solutions and Partner AI Delivery Capability, focusing on developing industry-specific solutions and enhancing team skills across system design, application development, and deployment. SYNNEX's internal adoption of AI has resulted in significant productivity gains, with a 55% increase in productivity and a 60% error reduction.
To support this ecosystem, SYNNEX has introduced a Funding for AI Competency Partners program, aimed at enhancing partners' technical and business capabilities. Additionally, a Physical AI Demo Space is being established to allow organizations to test AI solutions prior to full deployment.
Mr. Watson Thiraphatphong, AWS Country Manager for Thailand, highlighted the necessity of robust cloud and AI infrastructure to support AI-driven business outcomes. The collaboration with SYNNEX is expected to leverage AWS's technological expertise to address the challenges encountered by Thai enterprises.
The launch event also featured a panel discussion titled "Real World AI Transformation (AI HUB in Thailand)," where industry representatives shared their insights on AI implementation, covering infrastructure selection to market expansion through SYNNEX's network.
SYNNEX envisions the AI Hub as a catalyst for Thai organizations to quickly experiment with, implement, and scale AI, bridging the gap between AI capabilities and desired business outcomes through a unified ecosystem of technology, solutions, skills, investment, and market opportunities.
