Bangkok: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) has advised passengers to temporarily avoid using the Airport Rail Link due to a technical issue affecting normal operations. Travelers are encouraged to opt for alternative public transportation options to prevent travel delays.
According to Thai News Agency, the Airport Rail Link has disclosed that a technical issue is preventing normal service, with only one train currently in operation. As a result, BKK recommends passengers find alternative travel methods, such as public taxis, taxis booked through mobile applications like Grab, public buses, airport limousines, and private cars to reach the airport.
Passengers with scheduled flights during this period are urged to plan their journeys with additional time allowances and arrive at the airport earlier than usual to avoid missing flights.
To mitigate the impact of this disruption, Suvarnabhumi Airport has deployed staff to assist passengers, providing information on alternative transportation options and recommending suitable travel routes.
The airport will continue to monitor the situation and advises passengers to stay informed through the Airport Rail Link's Facebook page for updates.
