According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from 2:25 PM shows a male suspect, wearing black shorts and no shirt, with tattoos all over his body, running for his life towards Muang Thong Park on Chumphon Road. He had escaped while being escorted to the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court. The suspect then jumped into the moat next to the Thao Suranari Monument, swam across, and continued running towards the Ya Mo Plaza. He was pursued closely by police officers and concerned citizens on motorcycles, honking their horns. The citizens eventually surrounded and apprehended the exhausted suspect in front of the Chao Pho Fai Shrine, opposite the Thao Suranari Monument.
A vendor selling drinks in front of the Ya Mo Monument, one of the eyewitnesses, recounted the tense moment: "It was around 2:30 PM. I saw a shirtless man with tattoos all over his body running frantically. At first, I thought he was a thief. A short while later, a motorcycle followed him, honking its horn the whole way, and the rider shouted for help, asking for assistance in catching the suspect. Eventually, when they reached the monument, good Samaritans helped to apprehend him. We later learned he was a suspect."
