Bangkok: Supachai Jaisamut, a candidate for MP and chairman of the Bhumjaithai Party's legal working group, has publicly stated the party's readiness to support insured individuals while addressing concerns over accusations of corruption. Supachai emphasized the importance of protecting the party from unfounded allegations of being the source of corruption.
According to Thai News Agency, Supachai expressed his willingness to engage in dialogue with critics, provided there is no intent to harm the party's reputation. He addressed recent concerns raised by Mr. Sattharam Thammabussadee, a lecturer at Thammasat University and a member of the Social Security Board, who voiced fears of a potential lawsuit from the Bhumjaithai Party.
In his statement, Supachai reiterated the party's commitment to improving the Social Security Fund for the benefit of insured persons. He urged Mr. Sattharam to use his position on the Social Security Board to enact necessary changes, assuring that the Bhumjaithai Party stands ready to support such efforts.
However, Supachai also highlighted the need for evidence when accusing the party of corruption within the Social Security Fund. He stated that the party would defend itself against baseless accusations but remains open to investigating credible claims.
Supachai concluded by reassuring that the Bhumjaithai Party would refrain from legal action if accusations are substantiated and not intended to damage the party's reputation. He expressed his openness to understanding and resolving any misunderstandings amicably.
