Phaisali: Suksomruay Wantaniyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Chairperson of the National Village and Urban Community Fund (NVUCF), made a significant visit to Phaisali District in Nakhon Sawan Province to accelerate the "Thai Helps Thai, Half-Interest Rate Co-payment" project. The visit aimed to stimulate the local economy by strengthening grassroots communities through targeted financial initiatives.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Wantaniyakul, along with her delegation, visited the Village Fund operations at the Phaisali District Hall. The visit focused on raising awareness about the "Thai Helps Thai" project, emphasizing the capital increase and "Half-Half Interest Rate" scheme. She listened to the concerns and suggestions from fund members and local residents, seeking to align future policies with the specific needs of each area. The event saw a large turnout from the community, reflecting the high level of local engagement with the project.
During the visit, Ms. Wantaniyakul expressed her intent to boost the morale of officials executing the 'Thai Helps Thai, Half-Interest Loan' and 'SML PLUS' projects. She emphasized the importance of understanding the concerns of fund members to collaboratively develop solutions based on factual information. Additionally, she urged district officers, provincial development officers, and relevant agencies to assist in clarifying project details to fund committee members who may not yet fully comprehend them.
The delegation also visited the Wang Krod Village Fund in Moo 4, Samrongchai Subdistrict, where they praised the unity and strength of the fund's members. The village fund engages in producing brooms, curry paste, doormats, and growing organic vegetables. Ms. Wantaniyakul highlighted the government's commitment to accelerating key policies to stimulate the grassroots economy. This includes increasing capital support for village funds nationwide to foster job creation, income generation, and sustainable community development.
