Bangkok: "Pink-Blue" Suankularb Wittayalai School defeated "Chonburi Junior Sharks" Assumption Sriracha 3-1 to advance to the final against "Purple-Gold Chonko" Bangkok Christian College in the "Department of Physical Education Daily News Cup 2026" U18 football tournament. According to Thai News Agency, the Under-18 Football Competition, Category A, for the 2026 academic year, vying for the Royal Trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, reached the semi-finals on July 20th at Supachalasai Stadium. The semi-final matches saw fierce competition among the young talents aiming for a spot in the prestigious final. In the first quarter-final match, Assumption Thonburi School ("Little Tycoons") faced Bangkok Christian College ("Purple and Gold Chongko"). Assumption Thonburi emerged victorious over Ratchasima Wittayalai School ("Orange and White Gentlemen") with a 4-1 score, while Bangkok Christian College secured a narrow victory against Thepsirin School ("Children of the Mother") wit h a 1-0 scoreline. During the first half, Assumption Thonburi took a 1-0 lead with Teerapat Thongbang's goal in the 35th minute. Anthony Tangpao extended the lead to 2-0 in the 45+2 minute. However, Bangkok Christian College leveled the score in the second half with Jompol Hombunma scoring two quick goals in the 64th and 69th minutes, bringing the game to 2-2. The match proceeded to a penalty shootout, where Bangkok Christian College emerged victorious with a 7-6 win, advancing to the final. In the second semi-final, defending champions Suankularb Wittayalai School ("Chompoo Fah") faced Assumption Sriracha School. Suankularb Wittayalai defeated Pathum Khongka School ("Singha Ekkamai") 2-1, and Assumption Sriracha School won against Wat Sutthiwararam School ("Singha Saphan Pla") 3-2. Suankularb Wittayalai's performance was dominant, with Teerathep Ratthaphol scoring in the 24th minute and Wachirawit Kuwongwattanaseri adding two more goals in the 41st and 47th minutes. Assumption Sriracha's sole goal came fro m Raphatsak Kamolchuenpirunsong in the 83rd minute. The final match, a highly anticipated face-off between Bangkok Christian College and Suankularb Wittayalai, is scheduled for July 24, 2069, at 3:30 PM at Supachalasai Stadium.
