Suai ko-lok: The Suai Ko-lok train service resumed normal operation today, with the first trip being the Suai Ko-lok - Nakhon Si Thammarat route. The Suai Go-lok railway station reopened today with the first train, route 452 Suai Go-lok-Nakhon Si Thammarat, after repairs were made to the railway tracks damaged by an explosion.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Wasan Chanloy, stationmaster of Suai Go-lok Railway Station, revealed that due to the explosion on the railway tracks between Maruebo and Tanyongmas stations in Narathiwat Province on August 22, 2026, which damaged concrete sleepers, the State Railway of Thailand found it necessary to temporarily suspend train services for the safety of passengers and staff.
After security officials and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) teams confirmed its safety, the State Railway of Thailand promptly dispatched personnel to repair the damaged concrete sleepers. The work was expected to be completed by 4:00 PM on August 24, 2026.
If the repairs and safety checks proceed as planned, Suai Ko-lok railway station was set to resume normal train service today. The first train to resume service was train number 452, on the Suai Ko-lok-Nakhon Si Thammarat route, departing from Suai Ko-lok station at 9:00 AM.
Passengers affected by the train service suspension on August 23-24, 2026, can request a full refund at the Suai Ko-lok railway station or any nearby railway station. This applies even if they paid by credit card. Refund requests can be submitted, and the State Railway of Thailand will process the refund through the system using the passenger's credit card information, which may take approximately 45 days.
