South Korean Embassy Refutes Claims of Thai Politicians’ Scam Involvement

Bangkok: The South Korean Embassy in Thailand’s Facebook page recently issued a statement denying reports that seven Thai politicians were involved in scams. The embassy assured that necessary measures would be taken to address the misleading information.

According to Thai News Agency, the embassy’s statement was a response to an article dated October 19th, which claimed that the South Korean Prime Minister had disclosed the involvement of the Thai politicians with a call center operation based in Cambodia. The embassy categorically dismissed these claims as false and emphasized their commitment to counteracting the spread of such fake news.

The allegations originally surfaced through a social media influencer’s post, which lacked a credible source. This post quickly gained traction, leading to its dissemination by mainstream news outlets, prompting the embassy’s clarification on the matter.
